Alright, first of all, sorry to bother, but I'm not getting any useful google results, and most are all about r4i gold. So this summer I got bored and tried many games/emulators and different consoles. And now I wish to return to the NDSi. As the title states, I'm looking for help on getting the latest R4i v1.4.5 kernel V1.83b to work on my DSI 1.4.5U, it says for R4i chips including the V1.4 mark which I have from many years ago. Though I stopped playing NDS games since I was an idiot back then and decided to update and ruin my childhood never again playing another ROM...
I can't remember anything on getting R4i chips to work, especially with the latest kernel claiming to work on DSI 1.4.5U, can I get some assistance or people to experiment? And if all else fails, may I get suggestions on what to do to play NDS games again.
EDIT: I also must note, I get the black screen white message An Error has occurred. Press and hold the power butto- so and so. Though I can't remember anything on how to deal with it + the fact on the new kernel on installations, or what firmware works on my R4i-SDHC v1.4 mark (i.e. if I can rig it into wood R4 and so as an alternative in case all fails)
I also have older NDS systems and the original R4 however they don't load or appear as a game cartridge on screen while the r4i sdhc appears but isn't for the NDS itself, so that's another thing I'm wondering for solutions on this oldie lacking up-to-date knowledge. I do hope I get a reply soon so I can have something to do during my pass time when I'm done work during the summer. Thank you all for checking on my post as well.
